An entity crosses the galaxy and finds its way to Earth in the body of a preacher in Africa but this one explodes soon after. The same thing takes place in Russia in a satanic Temple. At the same moment, in Texas, Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a priest with a very bad past, begins to lose faith. The entity appears in the church and inahabits Jesse. Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), an Irish vampire pursued by vampires hunters, finds refuge in this church. But two angels are going to exorcise the entity in the body of the preacher.
