Joshua ‘J’ Cody (Finn Cole), 17 ans, à la mort de sa mère après une overdose est recueilli par sa grand-mère, Smurf (Ellen Barkin) et ses quatre oncles dans le sud de la ville de California Beach. Pope (Shaw Hatosy) vient de sortir de prison et avec Deran (Jake Weary) et ‘J’ , ils font un casse sans en parler à Smurf.
Joshua ‘ J ‘ Cody ( Finn Cole), 17 year-old-boy, have lost his mother after an overdose and moves in with his grandmother, Smurf ( Ellen Barkin) and his four uncles in Southern California Beach. Pope (Shaw Hatosy) has just gone out prison and with Deran (Jake Weary) and ‘ J ‘, they make a break-in without Smurf’s knowledge.
