Three years into its five years of exploration mission the USS ENTERPRISE and the crew explore the uncharted space. The ship arrives at Starbase Yorktown, a massive space station, for a little rest and recent news.
L’USS Enterprise est soudain appelé pour une mission de secours sur une nébuleuse inexplorée. Après une ceinture d’astéroïdes, la mission de secours tourne à l’embuscade et le vaisseau affronte un impitoyable ennemi. L’USS Enterprise est presque détruit et Kirk (Chris Pine) donne l’ordre à son équipage de s’envoler à bord de petits vaisseaux vers la planète Altamid sans pouvoir communiquer entre eux.
The USS Enterprise is suddenly dispached on a rescue mission nearby uncharted nebula. After a belt of asteroids, the rescue turns into an embush and the Enterprise is almost destroyed and Kirk (Chris Pine) orders the crew to abandon ship on saucer and fly to the planet Altamid without being able to communicate between them.
